Adding and configuring questions#
- Drag a question type from the palette onto your canvas, or click Add question inside a section.
- Select the question to open its settings in the properties panel.
- Edit the title, description, and answer options as needed.
Formatting answer text#
For choice-based questions, you can apply rich formatting (bold, italic, links, lists) to any answer option by clicking the rich text icon next to it. A small editor opens — make your changes, then save.
Adding images to answers#
Enter an image URL next to any answer option in the properties panel. A thumbnail preview appears so you can confirm it looks right. This works for single choice, multiple choice, and matrix rows/columns.
AutoAnswer#
AutoAnswer lets you configure a question to be answered automatically based on logic, and optionally hidden from the respondent. The response is still recorded in your data.
When to use it:
- Setting a derived segment value based on earlier answers without asking the respondent directly.
- Recording screening outcomes silently.
See Logic, Flow & Conditions for condition builders and flow placement.
Completion message#
When respondents finish your survey, they see a thank-you screen. You can customize this message with rich text — add bold text, links, lists, or even images to create a branded closing experience.
You can also add a Restart button (useful for demo surveys or kiosk setups) and an optional note below the main message.
