Built on matrix (stored as Matrix Text Entry — Short, same shape as Time Based Rating). Dial Gauge Grid replaces a slider or numeric entry with a press-and-hold circular dial: respondents set a 0–100% value per statement by holding a +/- button instead of dragging or typing.
What respondents see#
Each statement shows a half- or full-circle dial gauge with +/- buttons. Pressing and holding a button drives the gauge fill toward 0% or 100%; releasing stops it, recording that value for the statement.
When to use it#
- Percentage-estimate questions ("what share of your workforce...") where a dial feels more tactile than a slider row or numeric field.
- Studies wanting a distinctive, engaging input for share/proportion estimates.
Configuring it in the builder#
Drag Dial Gauge Grid from the Custom Interfaces group. Author statements as matrix rows; the plugin records one system "Rating" column per statement automatically.
