A display-only block — it presents content but collects no answer. Use it for instructions, images, consent text, or section breaks.

What respondents see#

Rich text, an image, or both, followed by a Next button. There's nothing to answer — the respondent reads and continues.

When to use it#

Section introductions and consent text.
Stimulus images shown before a choice or matrix question.
Break pages between long question batteries.

Configuring it in the builder#

Choose Text or Graphic variation.
Text variation — author rich text content (bold, links, lists) with the standard rich-text editor.
Graphic variation — set an image URL, with optional caption, alignment, and max width.
Optionally set a custom Next button label.
Display logic still applies, even though no answer is collected — use it to show a block only to some respondents.

Logic support#

Text/Graphic supports display logic the same way any other question does, but has no answer-based operators of its own since nothing is collected. See Display Logic and Logic, Flow & Conditions.

Good to know#

It can never be made required, takes no question number, and never appears in your exported data.
Instruction Swiper and Timed Instruction (see Custom Interfaces) are built on Text/Graphic and inherit its display-only, no-answer behavior.
