A checkbox question — the respondent can select one or more options. Use it for "select all that apply" lists and multi-select attribute batteries.
What respondents see#
A list of answer options, each with a checkbox. Any number of options can be checked, unless you set selection limits (below). Options can show text, an image, or both.
When to use it#
- "Select all that apply" questions.
- Multi-select attribute or brand-awareness lists.
- Any question where respondents may legitimately have more than one true answer.
Configuring it in the builder#
- Add or edit answer options in the properties panel — same rich text and image support as single choice.
- Open the Validation tab and turn on Selection Limits to require a minimum and/or maximum number of selections.
- Open the Logic tab for display logic, skip logic, and set-based condition rules.

Logic support#
Multiple choice uses set-style condition operators — Includes any of, Includes all of, Does not include, Answered, and Not answered — since more than one value can be true at once. See Logic, Flow & Conditions for the full operator tables.
Good to know#
- With Selection Limits off, respondents can pick any number of options and a Next button is always shown; turning limits on can also disable auto-advance behavior in some plugin variants built on multiple choice.
- Info Icon Augment (see Custom Interfaces) is a multiple-choice variant that adds a per-option info popup, useful when option labels need a short definition.
