Slide & Speak (plugin type slide_and_speak) pairs a video stimulus with a spoken reaction — the respondent scrubs through a video slider while recording their commentary. Like Tap & Talk, it's not wizard-driven — it's configured directly in the properties panel's Settings tab.
What respondents see#
A video is shown with a slider/scrub control. Respondents watch, select the part of the video they like most (then the part they like least), and record a voice note explaining each selection. "I don't like/dislike any of it" skip options are available, along with a "Nothing Else" control to end a phase early.
When to use it#
- Video-stimulus reactions where you want the respondent talking through the video as they watch, rather than answering after the fact.
- Ad or content testing where timing matters — which specific moment in the video drove the reaction.
- A lighter-weight alternative to a full StorySync wizard flow when the stimulus is a single video.
Configuring it in the builder#
Select the question and open the Settings tab in the properties panel — there's no wizard for this type.
- Video source URL.
- Show instruction screen toggle and its preview text.
- Like/dislike phase instruction text (first pick and follow-up pick).
- Recording controls: stop-recording prompt, max recording duration.
- Video max height as a percentage of viewport.

Logic support#
Stores video-scrub selections plus an open-ended voice/transcript response per selection — condition operators are limited to Answered/Not answered. See Logic, Flow & Conditions.
Good to know#
- Like Tap & Talk, this format has no AI moderator or auto-probing — it's a fixed-script interaction, faster to set up than a wizard-driven StorySync question.
